Join us for the 721 Exchanges Panel where NexPoint's Brian Sanborn will share his insight alongside other panelists on consideration for selling syndicate members, retail advisers and investors. During this panel, they will discuss making an investment which has a direct or optional 721 path, what liquidity really means when investing in a 721 Exchange, and operational consideration with this kind of transaction.

Angela Barbera

Managing Director, National Accounts

Angela Barbera is a managing director of national accounts at NexPoint. In her role, she oversees the company's national accounts and business development initiatives. Before joining NexPoint in July 2019, Ms. Barbera was executive vice president at Steadfast Capital Markets Group, where her team set selling strategies with over three hundred broker-dealers and RIAs for Steadfast Companies, Alcentra, and Voya Annuity & Asset Sales. She received her B.S. in business communication from Cornell University and holds her FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 79 licenses. Ms. Barbera serves on the board at the Center of Investment & Wealth Management at the University of California, Irvine.

Micah Jordan

Senior Director, National Accounts

Micah Jordan is a senior director of national accounts for NexPoint. He is the primary liaison for over 150 broker-dealers and RIAs across the U.S. Since he joined NexPoint in April 2018, the national accounts team has generated over $3 billion in sales. Before joining NexPoint, he was vice president for national accounts at Provasi Capital Parners, where he previously worked as a product and strategic account associate and as a broker-dealer due diligence product specialist. While at Provasi, he helped raise equity of over $5600 million. He received a B.S. from Texas A&M University and holds FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses.

Katie Shook

Senior Director, National Accounts

Katie Shook is the director of national accounts at NexPoint. before joining the firm in June 2022, she was national accounts strategy team lead at Clir Capital, where she managed the firm's broker-dealer partnerships, developing new opportunities while maximizing the efficiency of remote workers. Before Clir, she was associate vice president for key accounts at CNL Securities. Ms. Shook received a B.S. from Florida State University and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
